ANNOUNCEMENTS Click HERE for the 2013 Louisville Velo Club Application. We've already had our annual meeting, but it's not too late to join! Please drop-off your application at the shop. See Ride Information for details on our current ride schedule! In the warmer months, our weekly club rides take place Monday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. During the winter, our rides are limited to Saturday and Sunday mornings. Rides require a bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We also suggest a spare tube, a pump, and energy foods and beverages. Typically, rides are held throughout the winter; the general exception is when it rains or snows on the morning of the ride. If in doubt, give us a call at the shop. We look forward to seeing you! Spring Ride Schedule
ABOUT LOUISVILLE VELO CLUB The Louisville Velo Club (LVC) is an established club with the American Cycling Association (ACA). Our goal with LVC is to introduce new riders to the sport of cycling, providing structure within a relaxed and social atmosphere in order to allow riders to develop their skills and abilities. Louisville Velo Club is perhaps best described as a "European" style road club: not all members race, but most like to ride hard! However, we do welcome and encourage riders of all levels. For more information about joining LVC, please review the membership expectations and obligations here. 2012 LOUISVILLE-ESTES-LOUISVLLE RIDE Saturday, September 22nd marked the seventh edition of the Louisville Velo Club's "Louisville-Estes-Louisville" ride. Covering roughly 120 miles (192 Km for the Europhiles), the L-E-L features a beautiful climb up St. Vrain canyon, through Allenspark and follows the Peak-to-Peak Highway before dropping down into Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. This year, we were happy to report that the Louisville-Estes-Louisville remained moose-attack free for the eighth year running!
